Who and what this policy covers
This Privacy Policy explains how LastSoft Corp ("LSC," "we," "us," or "our") accesses, uses, shares, protects, retains, and deletes information when you use the LSC website or the NetGazer, File-Tunnel, and QuickScanner applications (together, the "Projects"). LastSoft Corp is the developer responsible for these Projects.
The Projects are local-first. Their primary content is processed on your device or sent only where you direct it. We do not operate a backend that receives NetGazer network inventories or SSH session content, File-Tunnel payloads, or QuickScanner documents, signatures, OCR text, questions, or answers. Limited information can still be processed by app stores and supporting services as described below.
"Accessed" below includes information an app handles only on your device. "Transmitted" identifies information that leaves your device for a peer, provider, or destination you select.

What each Project handles
NetGazer
Local network visibility and SSH tools
Data accessed
Network and interface details such as SSID when available, subnet, local address, gateway, and interface name; discovered device IP addresses, hostnames, MAC addresses and manufacturers when available; open ports, service banners, latency, derived device and risk classifications, notes, scan and change history, reports, and SSH connection data.
Local use and storage
NetGazer uses this data to perform scans, show changes and findings, create reports, and establish SSH sessions you request. Inventories, notes, reports, and public SSH host-key fingerprints are stored locally. SSH passwords and private keys are held only for the active session and are not persisted by NetGazer.
Transmissions
Scan and SSH traffic goes directly to the private-network targets you choose. Reports leave the app only when you export or share them. AdMob and RevenueCat may receive the limited advertising, device, and purchase data described under Sharing; they do not receive network inventory, notes, reports, credentials, commands, or SSH output from NetGazer.
File-Tunnel
Nearby, user-directed file transfer
Data accessed
Files you select and their names, sizes, and media types; the device name you set; nearby peer identifiers, names, platform, status, and trust state; transfer direction, progress, status, and timestamps; settings; and locally generated analyzer information such as file name, type, size, SHA-256 hash, and findings.
Local use and storage
File-Tunnel uses this information to discover participating peers, complete transfers, show history, remember preferences, and analyze files on your device. Transfer history stores metadata, not payload bytes. Analyzer reports and settings remain in local app storage.
Transmissions
A selected payload and its required metadata are sent only when you choose a peer and the receiving device accepts. The recipient receives the file; LastSoft Corp does not provide a file relay or cloud archive. Free-tier AdMob requests are configured as non-personalized. AdMob and RevenueCat do not receive file payloads, filenames, peer names, analyzer reports, or transfer history from File-Tunnel.
QuickScanner
On-device document capture and tools
Data accessed
Camera images and files you choose; document images, PDFs, names, types, favorites, signatures, preferences, usage totals, and locally saved Ask conversations; plus a local profile and optional resized profile picture. If you choose Apple or Google access, the provider may return a stable account identifier, name, and email address.
Local use and storage
QuickScanner uses this data to capture, organize, edit, sign, export, and—on supported Apple devices—recognize and explain documents on device. Documents and derived content are stored in the app's private local storage. Identity tokens, access tokens, and authorization codes are discarded rather than saved.
Transmissions
A document leaves QuickScanner only when you choose an export or share destination. Apple or Google processes an optional sign-in request, and RevenueCat and the applicable app store process purchase and entitlement data. These providers do not receive scans, PDFs, signatures, OCR text, questions, or answers from QuickScanner.
This website
As of the effective date, the LSC website has no accounts, forms, advertising, or analytics trackers and does not intentionally set tracking cookies. The hosting and delivery provider may process ordinary request data—such as IP address, device and browser headers, requested URL, time, and security events—to deliver and protect the site.
03 / Permissions
Device access is tied to a feature
- Camera: QuickScanner requests camera access when you start a scan. You can instead select supported files through the operating system picker.
- Files, photos, and sharing: QuickScanner and File-Tunnel access files you select and use system destinations when you export, share, send, or save content.
- Local or nearby network: NetGazer uses network-state, Wi-Fi, and multicast access for user-initiated discovery, port checks, and SSH. File-Tunnel uses nearby-network access to find and connect to participating peers.
- Internet: Used where needed for advertising, purchase validation, optional identity authorization, website delivery, or a network action you request.
Where the operating system offers a runtime permission, the app requests it in connection with the relevant feature. You can deny or later revoke permissions in system settings, although the related feature may stop working.
05 / Security
How data is protected
We use technical and product-boundary measures appropriate to the information handled. Core Project content is kept in private local app storage rather than an LSC content backend. Provider communications use the secure transport supplied by the platform or provider SDK. NetGazer restricts discovery and connection tools to private or link-local targets and uses SSH for encrypted remote sessions; its stored host-key fingerprints help users recognize a changed host key.
No storage or transmission method is completely secure. Local data is also affected by your device security, operating-system backups, destinations you choose, the protocols and peers you connect to, and third-party services. Keep your device updated, use a device lock, verify peers and SSH hosts, and share sensitive content only with destinations you trust.
06 / Retention & deletion
Local data stays until you remove it
Inventory, scans, notes, reports, and SSH host-key pins remain locally until you use Delete all local NetGazer data, clear app storage, or uninstall the app. SSH passwords and private keys expire with the active session and are not intentionally retained.
Transfer history and analyzer reports remain locally until you clear them. Settings and remembered peer information remain until changed, app storage is cleared, or the app is uninstalled. An operating-system backup may restore local File-Tunnel data.
You can delete individual documents, all scan data, or all app data in Settings. The full reset removes the local profile, provider connection choice, documents, signatures, Ask history, preferences, and local usage state. Uninstalling also removes local data where operating-system restoration does not reintroduce it.
Because LSC does not hold this local content on a server, we cannot retrieve it or delete it remotely. Clearing local app data does not erase purchase records held by an app store or RevenueCat, or data held independently by a destination you chose.
Supporting providers retain information under their published policies and as needed for purchase restoration, fraud prevention, security, legal, tax, or accounting obligations. If you contact us, we retain the correspondence only as long as reasonably necessary to answer the request, protect the Projects, and meet applicable legal obligations, then delete or de-identify it.
The current Projects do not create a cloud account with LastSoft Corp. QuickScanner's Apple or Google option stores a local access choice and profile; using its full local reset removes that data from the app. You may separately manage the provider authorization in your Apple or Google account.
07 / Your choices
Controls and privacy requests
- Choose whether to grant camera, file, local-network, nearby-device, and other system permissions.
- Choose which files, reports, documents, peers, SSH hosts, and export destinations an app may handle.
- Use each app's local deletion controls or your operating system's clear-storage and uninstall controls.
- Use operating-system and Google settings to manage advertising choices, and use the available purchase option if you want to remove ads from an ad-supported Project.
- Disconnect Apple or Google authorization through the provider and clear QuickScanner's local app data when you no longer want the local profile.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability for personal information we control. Email the address below with the Project name and your request. We may need to verify the request. Most Project content exists only on your device and is not accessible to us.
08 / Changes
Policy updates
We may update this policy when a Project, provider, or legal requirement changes. We will revise the effective date above and, when appropriate, provide an additional notice in the affected Project. Material changes apply prospectively unless applicable law requires otherwise.
